2022/2023, Harrison (Vesperia Films) was asked to create, and lead a film program for creative interested students of Inglewood High School. At the end of the 3 month program, Vesperia partnered with CinePacks Studios and the film students recorded their first short film at Cinepacks Studio, Los Angeles.
Written, directed, and starring our film students, "The Last Shift" won Best High School Drama Award at the the ACPL Teen Film Festival!
The film has already received several nominations and has been accepted to over eight film festivals.
Harrison created the program alongside Vesperia Films co-founder Dakota Daulby, and We Uplift The World non-profit founder Bijan Mechan. Harrison taught/mentored the film students for the entirety of this program, teaching the students development of a story, script, pre-production, and showing them their way around a professional on set experience, and what it takes to complete a film on a deeper/professional level, encouraging a fun creative and collaborative environment, deep-thought into the creative process, and the different creative and technical positions that can exist when creating a film. The students were hands on in every possible crew position possible. Before handling $100,000+ of professional film equipment at Cinepacks Studio the students wrote, cast actors, held rehearsals, created and edited pre-viz on their phones, designated roles, and were able to successfully collaborate to create characters, props, costume design, mood boards, shot lists, and more…
